Imperia launches software that lets businesses build their own supply chain solutions with AI (Sponsored )

For decades, industrial planning software has operated under the same model: rigid tools, closed modules and expensive customisation. Adapting these systems to the operational reality of each company typically requires long projects, significant investment and deep technical dependency. In practice, many organisations end up reshaping their internal processes to fit the limitations of the software, rather than deploying systems that reflect how their supply chain truly operates.

This is the structural challenge Imperia, a Spanish technology company specialised in advanced supply chain planning, is addressing with the launch of SCP Studio. The platform proposes a fundamental shift in industrial software: moving from configuring predefined tools to building planning functionality directly, with artificial intelligence at the core.

From configuration to continuous software building

Instead of adjusting existing modules, rules or screens, SCP Studio allows users to create new functionality from scratch. AI is no longer an additional layer; it becomes the engine of the system. The result is a planning environment where software is not customised occasionally through development projects, but continuously built and refined as business requirements evolve.

The model is straightforward but operationally powerful. Users describe, in natural language, what they need to analyse or how they want to plan. SCP Studio interprets the request and generates real system components: interfaces, calculation logic and behavioural rules embedded directly within the platform. This is not about generating code suggestions or text outputs. It is about producing live, executable planning tools ready for immediate use.

Within this framework, so-called “wishes” become the new interface. Planners define how they want to structure demand forecasts, prioritise procurement decisions or apply production constraints, and the platform translates those instructions into functioning system logic. The entire process happens in minutes, eliminating the traditional development cycles that have historically slowed down industrial software adaptation.

Maintaining control while scaling adaptability

A core principle of SCP Studio is maintaining human control. The AI does not replace planners, nor does it make autonomous operational decisions. Its role is to expand modelling capacity, reduce configuration friction and accelerate analytical workflows. Decision-making remains firmly in the hands of supply chain professionals, a critical distinction in industrial environments where judgement, context and risk management are essential.

The launch of SCP Studio has been enabled by recent advances in generative AI, particularly from the second half of 2025, when reliability and stability reached the level required for industrial-grade deployment. This progression has moved the technology from experimental use cases to robust applications capable of integrating into daily operational planning.

SCP Studio has been developed as the next generation of Imperia Supply Chain Planning, the company’s existing platform. It retains all established capabilities in demand forecasting, procurement planning, production planning and S&OP governance, while introducing a fundamentally new way of interacting with the system.

More about Imperia

Imperia, headquartered in Valencia, employs more than 100 professionals and specialises in advanced supply chain planning solutions. The platform was recently presented at a launch event attended by major industrial companies, investors and technology partners, providing early signals of traction and market validation.

With SCP Studio, Imperia is positioning itself within a new category of industrial software: AI-native planning platforms designed from the outset to adapt to different sectors, geographies and operating models. This is not an incremental upgrade to existing planning systems, but a redefinition of how industrial software can be built, configured and evolved in complex supply chain environments.
