Italian nuclear energy scaleup newcleo, a company that Stefano Buono founded, raised 85 million US Dollars for a total of 125 million in 2025 and ahead of a one billion target for a Series A round started in 2023 (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted the resources of Kairos, Indaco Ventures, Azimut Investments, CERN pension fund, Walter Tosto (part of Tosto Group), Milan-listed Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche, Milan-listed NextChem (Maire), Milan-listed Cementir Holding, Orion Valves, and other investors. Italian cleantech startup BeNewtral (fka ReHouseIT) attracted 7 million euros in equity from CDP Venture Capital, NovaCapital, Eureka! Venture, Tech4Planet, and Edoardo Vernazza (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Polo Nazionale di Trasferimento Tecnologico per la Sostenibilità Ambientale (PNTSA, a joint venture that CDP Venture Capital signed with the Polytechnic Unviersities of Milan, Bari and Turin) also poured resources in BeNewtral that will invest such proceeds in R&D and organic growth. LCA assisted CDP Venture Capital while Baker McKenzie and Gybe Consulting advised BeNewtral. NovaCapital and Eureka! Venture retained TargetLaw. Sources said to BeBeez that BeNewtral raised 10.5 million since Riccardo Frezzato and Nicolò Verardi founded it in 2020. Alessandro Scortecci is the head of direct investments of CDP Venture Capital. Carlo Germano Ravina is a managing director of NovaCapital while Stefano Peroncini heads Eureka! Venture. Sources said to BeBeez that Omney, an Italian startup for the financial education and advisory, attracted pre-seed Safe (Simple agreement for future equity) resources of 0.51 million euros from lead investor H-Farm (a venture builder that Riccardo Donadon founded in 2025), Marcello Ascani, Giacomo Spazzini, Zeno Tosoni, Giacomo Zenoni, Gianni Costan, Filippo Balsano, Mauro Bolis, Paolo Gnemmi, and Michele Pagani (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Alessandro Pedone and Riccardo Zanetti founded Omney in 2025 and will invest 70% of the SAFE resources in its proprietary technology and organic growth, 20% in marketing and communication and 10% in compliance.
