Paraglide, a Malmö-based startup building AI agents for accounts receivable (AR), today announced that it has raised €4.2 million ($5 million) in a Seed funding round to support its European expansion.
The round was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and DN Capital, with participation from Born Capital and The Nordic Web Ventures.
Alex Ferrara at Bessemer Venture Partners commented, “There’s a saying in business that cash is king, and if that’s the case then Paraglide’s ability to free up cash flow makes them an AI king maker for finance teams. Accounts receivable is an obvious area where generative AI can drive massive efficiencies. Paraglide’s AI agent helps reduce DSOs and free the finance team up to work on more valuable, higher-level strategic projects.”
Paraglide was founded by Rasmus Areskoug and Andreas Åström, formerly CFO and Head of Engineering of GetAccept, respectively. The duo claims to have experienced the operational burden of accounts receivable firsthand, and therefore, they set out to “modernise one of finance’s most persistent pain points”.
Rasmus Areskoug, co-founder and CEO of Paraglide, said, “As a former CFO, I’ve seen finance teams drowning in billing queries and tirelessly chasing invoices with reminders that customers ignore. AI agents have already transformed customer support by automating high-volume, conversational work. That same shift is now coming to accounts receivable, where agents can handle billing conversations end to end and help businesses get paid on time.”
According to the company, Paraglide is built for high-volume B2B finance teams. It deploys AI agents that automate two-way billing communication across the AR lifecycle. The agents respond to customers’ billing questions, chase overdue invoices, and take action across the financial stack to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow.
Describing its key differentiator, Paraglide noted that, unlike traditional AR tools that rely on one-way, templated payment reminders that customers often ignore, the Swedish startup’s AI agents manage full two-way conversations with customers to reply and follow up on existing threads in a personal and contextual way at scale.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of Paraglide’s AI-native platform for accounts receivable. It will also be deployed towards the company’s European expansion and to bring agentic automation into finance teams.
Paraglide reported early traction among mid-market and enterprise companies, including Choco, Ardoq, and Spiideo, and has established partnerships with companies such as revenue automation company Chargebee. According to the company, initial customers reported a 34% reduction in DSO and achieved financial inbox-zero within the first week of onboarding.
