Principled Intelligence (PI), an Italian deep tech startup that develops solutions for the control and governance of artificial intelligence, attracted pre-seed resources of 1.85 million euros from BlackSheep Fund – Eureka! Venture, Eden Ventures while CDP Venture Capital and Scientifica Venture Capital acted as lead investors through their partnership through Polo Nazionale di Trasferimento Tecnologico per l’Intelligenza Artificiale e la Cybersecurity (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Apple alumnus Simone Conia and Edoardo Barba founded PI in 2025. Umberto Bottesini is a managing partner of BlackSheep Fund. Claudia Pingue heads the Tech Transfer Fund of CDP Venture Capital. Riccardo D’Alessandri is a managing partner of Scientifica Venture Capital. Sources said to BeBeez that Pipein, an Italian startup that provided AI-based solutions for hydraulic networks efficiency, received assistance from Pavia e Ansaldo for securing 1.1 million euros in equity from BlueRobots, Fondo PiemonteNext-Comparto Due (a vehicle that FinPiemonte launched and CDP Venture Capital manages), RoboIT – CDP Venture Capital, and Pariter Partners (which poured 0.35 million) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Alessandro Minori (ceo), Marek Murgia (coo) and Antonio Misuraca (cto) founded Pipein in 2021 and since then they raised 1.9 million. On 15 January, Thursday, Acadèmia.tv will launch an equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd for raising 0.3 – 0.8 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The community members will have access to favourable conditions and bonuses of the first stage while the second round for all investors will take place in February 2026. Nicolò Zambello (ceo), Andrea Navone and Luca Palomba are the founders of Acadèmia.tv that aims to invest the proceeds of the campaign in its organic growth.
Sources said to BeBeez that Akka, a pan European venture capital investment club, allocated 12 million euros in 2025 while holding advanced talks with further startups (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Revolut, Yasu, Hymalaia, Orbital Paradigm, ArcaScience, and Bioo are some of Akka’s portfolio companies.
