Norway-based startup Fronted has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding from Antler and Sondo Capital to further develop its AI-driven platform for managing global hiring and employment. The company is building a system that brings recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance and offboarding into one workflow—an attempt to streamline a process that today is handled across multiple tools. Founded by operators with backgrounds in cross-border employment, fintech and remote-work infrastructure, Fronted plans to use the new capital to expand its product and engineering teams and continue developing its unified platform. The team reports a 230% increase in ARR since mid-2025.
Fronted solves two of the most painful problems for global scale-ups in one solution – hiring and managing employees across borders. Today, companies rely on multiple disjointed tools to find, hire, and employ global talent. Platforms such as Deel and Rippling focus on payroll and compliance after recruitment, while sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding remain fragmented.
Fronted’s platform combines AI-driven recruitment contracts, onboarding, payroll, and offboarding in the world’s first truly end-to-end solution for global hiring.
Marius Blaker Hogevold, co-founder of Fronted, comments, “Every tech company wants to go global, but most fail because hiring across borders is complex, costly, and disconnected. Recruiters spend months finding great people, only to face legal, payroll, and compliance headaches that slow everything down. With Fronted, we’re building a seamless, AI-powered platform that manages the entire process, from job description to contract signing and payroll.. We’re finally bringing simplicity to something that has been too complex to scale.”
Fronted’s founding team brings together veterans of global hiring and fintech, including a former executive at one of the Nordics’ leading crypto exchanges and a serial founder whose previous company, a health insurance platform for digital nomads
Marius Blaker Hogevold, CEO, was previously the Chief Operating Officer at the crypto exchange, Firi. Hans Nyvold Kjellby, Chairman and CCO, has a legal background and is the co-founder of SafetyWing. Håvard Liltvedt Dalen, CPO, is a serial founder who has built a number of healthtech startups in Norway. Gelo Torres, COO, has extensive experience in expanding teams out of South East Asia. Antonina Kruhlikova, Chief Talent Officer, headed up recruiting in SafetyWing, responsible for hundreds of remote hires. Other profiles include Kurt Alexander Bakkevig (Deel), Jørgen Riiser (Ymir Labs) and Lars Smith (Curamando).
Kristian Jul Rosjo, Partner at Antler, comments: “Fronted’s founding team combines deep domain expertise with a clear vision for the future of global hiring. They’re tackling a massive, fast-growing market with an approach that integrates what’s currently fragmented, sourcing, hiring, and employment, and they’re doing it with AI at the core. We’re thrilled to back them from the very start of their journey.”
The team has grown ARR by 230% since July 2025 and is using this funding to expand its product and engineering team and accelerate platform development.
Henrik Hatlebrekke, Partner at Sondo Capital, comments, “We chose to invest because the team has a deep understanding of the remote-work market, operates with impressive speed, sets exceptionally high ambitions, and consistently delivers experiences that their customers are delighted with.
