Homesure Property has acquired Sefton-based letting agency James Kristian Lettings, adding 222 managed properties to its portfolio.
Founded 18 years ago in South Liverpool, Homesure has grown from a two-person team into one of the region’s largest independent property management firms, employing more than 40 people across the Liverpool City Region, Greater Manchester, and Cheshire.
Homesure Property CEO Nick Stott said: “The acquisition of this large portfolio strengthens Homesure’s presence in North Liverpool and Sefton. Many of the former James Kristian properties are in the Bootle docklands area. This complements the work of our investment department, that supports landlords to buy and let quality homes in prime investment areas like Bootle.
“The Renter’s Rights Bill is here. Investors need to make sure their agent has capacity to take on the extra work needed to stay compliant. We have team members based in, and covering, Sefton. We can be incredibly responsive in that area, as well as many others in the region.
“We’re actively working to increase our geographic spread, so landlords can bring their entire portfolios to Homesure, and be confident of a consistent level of service.”
The deal for James Kristian Lettings marks Homesure’s sixth acquisition in nine years. Earlier this year, the company’s lettings, investment, and block management teams relocated to new headquarters at Wavertree Technology Park.
Homesure director Mark Loughnane commented: “It’s about looking after people – owners and occupiers, and our employees. Every time we take over a company, the landlords keep their business with Homesure. That speaks volumes. We manage some properties that have passed from one generation to the next, with our help to make that a smooth process.
“We’ve also got team members who joined us as apprentices in their teens, and are now at director level. Our aim is to provide quality homes for the long-term, and we mean that in more ways than one.”
