Dexters has announced plans to recruit up to 200 new trainees through its academy programme next year, as part of its ongoing expansion and investment in staff training.
The London-based estate agency, which employs more than 2,500 people across over 180 offices, says it has supported more than 560 employees in gaining industry-recognised apprenticeship qualifications and professional development since launching the academy nine years ago.
The company says its training programme is designed to align with proposed government standards for mandatory qualifications in the property sector. Through the academy, new recruits gain on-the-job experience and mentoring from senior colleagues while working towards professional accreditation.
Dexters adds that its growth plans include further opportunities for internal progression, with structured career pathways to management and director-level roles.
Ash Kashyap, CEO of Dexters, commented: “At a time when we hear reports that other London agents are cutting staff and slashing training budgets, Dexters is doing the opposite and we are growing through investing in our colleagues and offices, bringing on new apprentices, promoting internally and expanding our Dexters Academy.
“Our approach to apprenticeships and internal career development is part of our ‘spend your career with us’ culture, demonstrating our commitment to professionalism within our industry and attracting, retaining and developing the very best talent in the estate agency industry.”
“Dexters was the UK’s first estate agency employment training provider, and we were proud to gain accreditation by Ofsted for our dedicated Dexters Training Academy,” he added. “We are passionate about investing and training our people and do everything we can to support them so they can spend their careers with us.”
