North East-based estate agency Carvers has appointed Chris Lofthouse as branch manager of its Richmond office, strengthening the firm’s presence in the market town and surrounding area.

Having worked extensively across rural market towns, he has built a strong reputation for local knowledge, accurate valuations, and delivering excellent customer service. His new role will see him lead the Richmond team, supporting buyers and sellers across North Yorkshire.
Lofthouse said: “It’s [Richmond] a fantastic town with a thriving property market, and I look forward to building on Carvers’ reputation in the area. With such a committed team around me, I’m excited to help more people find the right home and to strengthen our relationships across the local community.”
Henry Carver, director at Carvers, commented: “His [Lofthouse’s] knowledge of rural markets and his track record of delivering results for clients make him a real asset to both the Richmond office and the wider group. We’re confident he will play a key role in driving our growth across North Yorkshire.”
Ben Goodison launches new estate agency under eXp UK platformÂ

Halifax-based estate agent Ben Goodison has launched his own business, Ben Goodison Property in Calderdale, operating under the eXp UK platform.
The 31-year-old, who recently returned from Dubai after working as a real estate broker, said the move marks the next step in his career. “I came back six months ago and was trying to work out what to do next,” he told the press.
Before his time overseas, Goodison worked for William H Brown in Sowerby Bridge and Halifax. He said his new agency will focus on offering a modern, digital-led service.
“I worked as a broker in Dubai, and that’s how I’m working here – focusing on professional photography, 3D virtual tours, floor plans, and social media reels,” he explained. “It’s more about the 21st-century approach. I don’t have an office – it’s all about the customer.”
