Tallinn-based Yaga, the pre-loved fashion marketplace, has raised €4 million in a pre-Series A round led by Specialist VC, with support from H&M Group Ventures, Trind Ventures, Startup Wise Guys, and a network of angel investors. Yaga enables users to buy and sell second-hand fashion through a secure, app-based platform that combines escrow-protected payments with localised logistics. The startup plans to use the new funding to expand into Africa and the Middle East, scale its team, and make circular fashion more accessible and engaging for consumers.
Founded by Aune Aunapuu, Yaga allows users to buy and sell pre-loved clothing through a secure, app-driven platform, combining escrow-protected payments with integrated local logistics. Since its launch, the company has built a 25-person team, achieved over €50 million in GMV run-rate, and maintained profitability, proving that circular fashion can be both scalable and sustainable.
The fresh funding will support Yaga’s expansion into Africa and the Middle East, strengthen its team, and enhance the platform’s offering in existing markets. Yaga’s growth reflects a broader shift in global consumer behavior, where second-hand fashion is increasingly seen as not only affordable but also an environmentally responsible choice.
“Our growth in South Africa proves that this is a global movement, not limited to Europe or the US,” said CEO Aune Aunapuu to Tech.eu. “With this funding, we will explore new expansion opportunities as we continue to build the sustainable fashion marketplace of the future.”
