Italian pre-clinical stage biotech Nanophoria secured a Series A round of 83.5 million euros that XGEN Venture, Sofinnova Partners and CDP Venture Capital led that will support the development of NP-MP1 for its pre-clinic research ahead of the application for IND (Investigational New Drug) and the product’s first clinical steps (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company also attracted the resources of Panakes Partners and another undisclosed firm. Daniele Catalucci, Michele Iafisco, Alessio Alogna, and Claudio De Luca founded NanoPhoria in 2022 through a spin-off from Italy’s National Research Council while Suman Shirodkar acts as chairwoman. In March 2025, the startup received a 2.5 million grant and an equity injection of up to 15 million from European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator.
Ventive, and advisory firm and investor in startups, secured a 10 million euros round for a post-money value of 30 million and attracted the resources of Vanguard Legacy Capital, Redstone, KON Group, the multi-family office that Lorenzo Guidotti heads, and FundX, a vehicle of Fabio Nalucci (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Roberto Sfoglietta, Riccardo Angioli, Marco Scioli, Edoardo di Lella, and Federico di Condina founded Ventive in 2019 and will invest such capital increase proceeds in opening a bureau in London.
AndromedAI, a startup for the optimization of e-commerce catalogues through artificial intelligence, said it attracted pre-seed resources of 1.1 million euros for its proprietary technology from lead investor The Techshop, Fondo per la Transizione Digitale-PNRR – CDP Venture Capital which manages the NextGenerationEU resources, Club degli Investitori, Nana Bianca, and other business angels(see here a previous post by BeBeez). Google alumnus Alberto Barberis, ceo, Francesco Burelli, Vairo Di Pasquale, and Stefano Orlando founded AndromedAI in 2023. Gianluca D’Agostino is the managing partner of The Techshop. Italian ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform Arke, a company that ceo Michela Andreolli founded in 2024, attracted the resources of Dig Ventures – Exor Seeds, 2100 Ventures (Alessandro Benetton) and Ithaca Investments (Luigi Berlusconi and Giorgio Valaguzza) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Andreolli, born in 1998, previously worked for Google, Amazon and SAP.
