Daikin will bring its specialist data center cooling knowledge to the forefront at this year’s DCD event, taking place this September at the Business Design Center, London.

Daikin’s team of experts will be on hand to advise on critical cooling strategies that support energy efficiency, operational resilience and sustainability in mission-critical environments.

Data center expansion continues to accelerate, driven by the growth of AI, cloud computing and Edge processing. In response, Daikin is helping operators meet the growing demand for scalable, low-carbon cooling systems built to handle high thermal loads.

Smarter, safer cooling for demanding environments

Delegates will learn how Daikin’s glycol-free chillers from the TZ D range provide enhanced heat transfer performance while eliminating the environmental risks and maintenance issues associated with glycol-based systems.

These air-cooled units operate from -20°C (-4°F) to 55°C (131°F), with special options available for operation down to -35°C (-31°F), making them ideal for Nordic climates, and feature integrated free cooling, which reduces chiller runtime, lowers energy consumption, and decreases overall emissions.

For airside cooling, Daikin offers two complementary solutions:

  • The Pro-C range of CRAHs delivers 30-200kW of cooling with enhanced airflow management and advanced compatibility for high-density racks and aisle containment systems. Built for reliability in mission-critical environments, Pro-C units combine energy-efficient EC fans, optimized coil design and tailored performance for data center white space.
  • The Pro-W fan array range provides up to 500kW of cooling capacity. With modular, high-efficiency fan configurations, Pro-W ensures resilient, scalable performance for large-scale data halls where redundancy and airflow optimisation are essential.

Intelligent data center controls

Daikin will also showcase its Intelligent Data Center Manager (iDCM), a dedicated control solution for mission-critical environments. Capable of sequencing and staging up to 20 chillers and pumps, iDCM integrates free cooling management to maximise efficiency.

By applying AI and machine learning, iDCM builds real-time performance profiles of the plant to optimise load balancing, cut energy use, and extend equipment life. Its smart sequencing ensures the most efficient combination of units is always in operation, delivering up to 20 percent energy savings compared with conventional control.

Fully compatible with customer BMS platforms and designed to support Tier III and Tier IV resilience requirements, iDCM helps operators achieve measurable improvements in PUE, WUE and total cost of ownership, while safeguarding uptime in demanding data center environments.

Expert session: Francesco Di Giovanni

Francesco Di Giovanni, senior consulting engineer at Daikin, will host a technical lunch session exploring the role of thermal management in the AI era.

With over 15 years of experience across EMEA, Francesco will present strategies to improve power usage effectiveness (PUE) and water usage effectiveness (WUE), manage system loads, and reduce the total cost of ownership. The session will highlight how intelligent cooling design can enable net-zero progress in both new and retrofit facilities.

Built for net-zero

Daikin’s end-to-end cooling systems are built with low-GWP refrigerants, reclaimed gases and modular design principles to reduce embodied carbon and support regulatory compliance, including F-Gas and upcoming MEES requirements.

With a vertically integrated supply chain and comprehensive lifecycle service, Daikin ensures long-term reliability and performance in critical environments.

Meet Daikin at DCD>Connect London
