On 10 November 2025, the Innovation Radar Prize returns to the AI Hub in Beato Innovation District, Lisbon, in perfect sync with Web Summit Investor Day. The prize has actually been running since 2023, when Dealflow.eu organised the first in-person edition. Since then, the event has grown exponentially, with the backing of co-organisers like the European Commission, Unicorn Factory Lisboa, and partners Dealroom.co, the European Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA) and us here at EU-Startups.
The prize is also part of the Innovation Radar Bridge, an EU-funded project producing a series of events and reports to connect Europe’s most promising EU-funded innovators with investors, corporates, and policymakers, helping these startups to scale, commercialise, and represent Europe in global markets.
Last year, Polish biotech startup Cellis took home the prize with its groundbreaking MDC immunotherapy – a technology designed to outsmart aggressive cancers and transform patient outcomes. Other finalists like Gelatex, AEinnova, and Qilimanjaro showcased the diversity and strength of EU-backed innovation, from sustainability solutions to next-gen computing.
