Anthropic, an US generative AI scaleup that OpenAI alumni Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei founded in 2020, secured a 13 billion US Dollars Series – F round (press release).
The company attracted the resources of ICONIQ, Fidelity Management & Research Company (co-lead investors) and Lightspeed Venture Partners and reached a post-money value of 183 billion.
Further investors of this round are Altimeter, Baillie Gifford, fondi affiliati di BlackRock, Blackstone, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, General Atlantic, General Catalyst, GIC, Growth Equity di Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Insight Partners, Jane Street, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Qatar Investment Authority, TPG, T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc., WCM Investment Management, and XN.
In March 2025, the company secured 3.5 billion for a post-money value of 61.5 billion (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
In January 2025, Anthropic attracted one billion from Alphabet Inc, Google’s controlling shareholder (Bloomberg) while in November 2024 NYSE-listed Amazon entirely subscribed a 4 billion round (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
In 2024, FTX Trading Inc, the bankrupted trading platform for cryptocurrencies and NFT, fetched 884 milion out of the partial sale of its stake in Anthropic to Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala (in the region of 500 million), Jane Street (100 million), Craig Falls (20 million), HOF Capital, Ford Foundation, Fidelity Management, and other buyers (CNBC). In June 2024, FTX sold further shares in Anthropic for 451 million to G Squared (135 million), Forge Investments (68 million) and other investors (Delaware Court Notice).
In March 2023, Anthropic launched Claude and since then the turnover rose to 1 billion. In August 2025, the company generated sales of above 5 billion. Anthropic has more than 300000 corporate clients while accounts worth 01 million and above has grown more than sixfold in 2024.
