BeBeez roundup with eToro support about the performances of private capital firms listed on global exchanges.
On 11 July, Friday, stock markets have been volatile as US President Donald Trump threatened to charge EU imports with 30% tariffs from 1 August, Friday.
Such news did not impact the investors’ expectations on interest rates, a key factor for the 45 private capital stocks’ performance that BeBeez and eToro monitor on Trading Floor. Tariffs pass-through on final prices acts like a kind of tax on consumer goods that will have a one-off effect on inflation.
Analysts think that the developments in US economic policy will lead to a steepening of the rate curve that will lead investors to opt for shorter-term positions, as BeBeez previously reported.
NYSE-listed private capital giant Carlyle Group Inc. (+5.5%) attracted the resources of investors after having announced the signing of a partnership with US Diversified Energy. The firms will invest 2 billion US Dollars in new oil & gas production initiatives.

Bruxelles-listed Sofina (+5.2%) is still benefiting from a previously announced buyback programme (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
NYSE-listed Blackstone (+4.9%), a firm that Stephen Schwarzman heads, is still going through a positive trend (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The firm has aum of 1.4 trillion and said it signed a strategic agreement with London-listed insurer Legal & General (L&G) that committed to invest in the giant’s private credit vehicles up to 10% of new inflows related to life insurance policies distributed through its network. Blackstone’s private debt unit will gain a relevant amount of further resources (press release).
Several analysts released reports with an upward revision of the target price for LSE-listed Bridgepooint Group (+4.6%).
Canadian NYSE-listed Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (-4.4%) suffered instead from the strengthening expectations of rising interest rates on longer maturities, with negative effects on NAV given the firm’s long-term approach to investments.
