BeBeez roundup with eToro support about the performances of private capital firms listed on global exchanges.
Only a minority of 45 private capital stocks that BeBeez and eToro monitor on Trading Floor posted positive performances.
After Israel’s attack on Iran, Rising Lion Operation (RLO), many investors acquired safer assets. On the night of 12 June, Thursday, gold posted a 1.8% gain in less than three hours while WTI-crude oil rose by 7.6% impacting on the expectation on inflation and the volatility of interest rates.
Markets are not yet in panic, but analysts have different opinions about future scenarios and the assessment of Israel’s RLO. Many observers think that US President Donald Trump’s wait and see approach aims to put Iran under pressure for closing an agreement about their nuclear development programme. Other analysts have a less positive view since they don’t think that Trump can control Israel and therefore the risks of uncontrollable escalation are quite high.
In this geopolitical environment that triggers more volatility, private debt investors benefit from a generalised rise in yields rates.
The market capitalization of NYSE-listed provider of private debt facilities for financing non-residential property projects Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp grew by 2.7%. Despite the volatility that RLO triggered, the firm benefited from widespread expectations of more than doubled earnings per share in 2025 compared to the previous year, which made it a Strong Buy in the first half of June.

On 6 June, Friday, Elizabeth Murray, the cfo of NYSE-listed corporate private debt player Barings Bdc, acquired a relevant amount of company’s shares. Such announcement since then boosted the firm’s market capitalization which went up +1.9%.
