Tim Thomas, Propertymark’s policy and campaigns officer, will be speaking at the second All Wales Property Agent Forum on Wednesday 4 June 2025 alongside a host of other speakers.
Attendance is free and it will be held virtually.
Thomas will speak about the security of buildings and participate in a question-and-answer session at the end with the other speakers, along with Bethan Jones and Sarah Rivers of Rent Smart Wales.
Angela Davey, head of lettings for Peter Alan Ltd and past president of ARLA Propertymark, will give a welcome and opening address.
There will be an update on housing legislation and future proposals for the private rented sector from James Hooker of the Welsh Government’s private sector housing policy team.
James Munro, senior manager of the National Trading Standards estate and letting agency team, will provide an update on Material Information, and David d’Orton-Gibson, managing director at Training for Professionals, will discuss changes to Energy Performance Certificates.
Propertymark has lobbied the Welsh Government to introduce an agent forum where professionals in the sector are able to voice any concerns and raise and discuss industry issues. These regular sessions have now been introduced, with the first forum taking place last year on 20 November.
Thomas said: “Providing a forum for property agents in Wales was a key campaign aim of Propertymark. We are really pleased to work with Rent Smart Wales and the Welsh Government in delivering the second All Wales Property Agent Forum.
“We received excellent feedback from letting agents following the first forum, and we maintain that it is essential that property agents have an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders.”
