Behavix, a Helsinki-based company specializing in privacy-focused behavioral data, has appointed four senior figures from major research and technology firms to support its international growth. The new team members—formerly with Nielsen, Ipsos, Comscore, ResearchNow, and ByteDance—will focus on advisory and business development roles across the US and Europe. Their backgrounds span media measurement, programmatic advertising, and data infrastructure, with prior experience at companies like Pathmatics, Hitwise, and Verto Analytics. The appointments come as Behavix increases its reach through expanded SDK integrations and growing demand for behavioral data in sectors including finance, advertising, and artificial intelligence. The company, which offers opt-in, real-time data feeds, aims to position itself as an alternative to traditional survey-based research methods.
Behavix is a data infrastructure company that provides opt-in, privacy-compliant behavioral data from digital devices, such as smartphones and browsers, for use in analytics, market research, and artificial intelligence applications. Based in Helsinki and New York, the company partners with online panels and app publishers to collect real-time user interaction data, which it aggregates and structures for enterprise clients across sectors including finance, advertising, and e-commerce. Behavix’s approach focuses on passively collected, consent-based behavioral signals as an alternative to traditional survey-based research methods. Earlier this year, the company secured new funding to support its product development and international expansion efforts.
“We’ve built Behavix to be lean, global, and built-for-AI—and now we’re expanding our go-to-market capabilities with some of the sharpest minds in the industry, with many of whom I have had a pleasure to also work earlier in my career,” said Hannu Verkasalo, CEO of Behavix. “Each of these individuals brings deep relationships, sharp commercial instincts, and decades of experience from the world’s most recognized research and data companies. Their joining Behavix is both a validation of our model—and a catalyst for the next phase of our growth.”
Julia Roland joins Behavix to support business development across the U.S. East Coast. She brings extensive experience from roles at Ipsos and Nielsen, and was an early advocate for behavioral and telemetry-based data, dating back to her work at Telephia in the early 2010s. Roland has worked closely with telecommunications, media, and technology companies, helping them integrate research and data into strategic decision-making. Her appointment signals Behavix’s intent to strengthen relationships with established enterprises in media and digital platforms.
Liam Corcoran, based in London, joins Behavix as a Strategic Advisor. Corcoran most recently held a senior role at ByteDance, where he focused on scaling data-driven advertising. He has also worked at Dynata (formerly Research Now) and Arbitron, giving him a background that spans both traditional research methods and modern digital measurement. At Behavix, he is expected to advise on programmatic advertising and audience measurement strategies, particularly relevant as the industry adapts to a cookieless environment.
Alex Costakis, operating between Berlin and Los Angeles, will support Behavix’s commercial efforts in the pharmaceutical, advertising, and media sectors. His background includes roles at Hitwise and Pathmatics, along with experience in startups focused on digital intelligence. Costakis brings knowledge of how behavioral signals can be applied in competitive analysis and media optimization, areas that are becoming increasingly important for enterprise clients seeking more granular insights.
John McLaren, based in Silicon Valley, joins as a commercial advisor for the West Coast market. He previously held executive roles at Comscore, Verto Analytics, and most recently at Measure Protocol. McLaren has worked extensively on scaling enterprise data platforms and advancing measurement methodologies. At Behavix, he will focus on supporting business development and client relationships in the tech and data-driven enterprise sectors.
