Related Argent hires Lesley Roberts as Build-to-Rent operations director

Related Argent, one of the largest privately-owned property and urban regeneration businesses in the UK, has announced the appointment of Lesley Roberts as Build-to-Rent (BTR) operations director.
Roberts joins the Related Argent team with a goal of continuing to strengthen and elevate the BTR offering and resident experience across the company’s portfolio of over 3,000 rental homes.
This appointment comes alongside the news that Michael Herrington, who has led Related Argent’s BTR offer since 2022 following more than 15 years with Related Companies’ industry-leading rental portfolio in the US, will return to Related Companies this summer.
Roberts has over 20 years’ experience in the sector, having joined from Godwin Developments where, as director of BTR, she played a pivotal role in the acquisition, development and delivery of Godwin’s Monogram Living £1bn national BTR portfolio.
Tom Goodall, chief executive director at Related Argent, said: “I would like to extend my thanks to Michael Herrington for his significant contributions to the business over the past three years and his work propelling forward Related Argent’s BTR portfolio. Lesley’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth, as we look to enhance the Related Argent build-to-rent offer even further.
“We are committed to our developments for the long term with a vision which goes well beyond delivering high-quality buildings. The successful curation and custodianship of exceptional places to live is at the heart of what we do. Our debut BTR development, Author King’s Cross, stands as a testament to this ambition, setting a high benchmark for future projects set to come forward this year across our portfolio.”
Roberts added: “Related Argent is at a springboard moment, having established Author as the leading BTR offer in London, and with the launch of its best-in-class residential offer this Spring at The Maple in Brent Cross Town. Related Argent has a deep understanding of how to create amazing places and BTR’s intrinsic role within that. I’m thrilled to be furthering the creation of exceptional communities, working with the team to evolve and grow RA’s best in class BTR operations.”
