London-based PassEntry has announced the closing of a €6.2 million round to strengthen its leadership in digital pass issuance and enhance integrations with point-of-sale (POS) systems worldwide.
The round was led by Acurio Ventures and Bonsai Partners.
This investment is expected to enable PassEntry to grow its customer base by 300% and expand into five new countries with a particular focus on North America and APAC.

Founded in 2019 by Josh Shepherd and Nico Cary, PassEntry focuses on the way businesses distribute and manage digital passes, from loyalty cards and event tickets to membership passes, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience within the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
To this end, the company aims to have a presence in more than 10 major markets to solidify its position as a global leader in the digital pass industry by the end of 2025.
PassEntry is looks to transform the way organisations drive customer engagement, retain customers and reward loyalty.

PassEntry integrates seamlessly with existing systems and cloud-based interfaces. They offer NFC passes for swift, secure contactless transactions and QR codes for quick data authentication. Their platform integrates with Point-of-Sale terminals from providers like Verifone and Ingenico, and supports standalone QR/NFC readers.
Additionally, PassEntry provides a public SDK for scanning passes using NFC-enabled Android devices, and offers an API for full control over pass updates and distribution.
