Malmö-based Spiideo has acquired Signality, a Linköping-based company specializing in optical tracking and sports data generation, as part of its strategy to enhance its sports video and data capabilities. The acquisition will integrate Signality’s real-time data and analytics technology into Spiideo’s existing platform, which serves a range of sports organizations, including leagues, federations, and schools. The combination of Signality’s AI-driven data generation with Spiideo’s cloud-based infrastructure is expected to improve the automation and efficiency of sports data workflows. This move will enable more scalable deployment of advanced sports tracking and analysis tools across various sports and regions.
Spiideo specializes in AI-powered video and data solutions for the sports industry. Its cloud-based platform helps sports organizations, including leagues, broadcasters, federations, clubs, and schools, capture, analyze, and broadcast sports events. The platform provides tools for performance analysis and officiating, as well as data-driven insights that support decision-making in sports production. Spiideo’s technology is used globally across thousands of venues, serving various sports organizations from top-tier leagues to local clubs, aiming to streamline workflows and enhance sports data collection and analysis.
