Helsinki-based Munchfam has raised €600K in a round led by Belgium’s Pitchdrive and Greece’s Genesis with the support of Nordic Makers, Founders’ Edge, and former & current management from Wolt, Just Eat, Food Panda, and Bolt. The company helps restaurants thrive by providing great food experiences to their consumers. The funding will enable them to scale up their business in the service areas.
Munchfam was founded in Finland by Pertti Kallioinen, Wei Zhou, Henri Auvinen and Sauli Lehtovaara. They have a combined 50+ years of experience in the restaurant industry and service business development in the EU, Australia and Silicon Valley USA.
Munchfam is changing the way restaurants operate, offering a unique service platform that combines cutting-edge digital tools, plug ‘n’ play brands, and high-quality ingredients. These solutions empower restaurants to thrive across all sales channels—whether dine-in, delivery, or takeout—while enhancing efficiency and profitability.

As Pertti said, running a restaurant is not easy. There’s over 1 million restaurants in the EU. 60% of new restaurants fail in their first year of operation. 80% in their first five. Competition is fierce with small profit margins. This means that restaurants need to be able to adapt and find revenue wherever they can. This is where Munchfam can help.
The Team members have built and run their own restaurant chains. They have firsthand knowledge of the fact that the game has changed for restaurants as more and more of the customers have moved online to order instead of dining at the restaurant. With this new capital injection, Munchfam plans to continue to scale and develop the service platform in its current markets (Finland, Germany, Denmark & Sweden), bringing even more innovation to restaurants.
