BetaGlue Therapeutics, a life science startup, attracted 8 million euros from Neva (lead investor), Liftt, FinPosillipo (Gruppo Petrone), Romed, and Giovanni Cerutti (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Francesco Izzo founded the company in July 2022 while Colin Story acts as ceo. Liftt retained Sani Zangrando. The company will invest such resources in accelerating the development of YntraDose, a radiotherapy platform for cancer threatment. BetaGlue previously received a 10 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) that will invest in the BAT-90 platform.
AVM Gestioni said it reached the first closing for venture capital fund Rialto I EuVeca that attracted more than 55 million euros commitments ahead of a 100 million target (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Rialto will invest in Series A round of B2B tech companies that operate in the fields of robotics, non-generative AI, cybersecurity, AR/VR, B2B SaaS, medtech, services in cloud, and providers tools for IT developers. The mean investment ticket is of 5 million. Simone Brunozzi and Stefano Quintarelli act as general partners, Fabri Cara and Giovanni Baldassarri as partners while Alessandro Profumo will be Rialto’s chairman and partner. .
Italian Founders Fund (IFF), an Italian venture capital that Koinos Capital launched, raised more than 50 million euros ahead of a 60 million target (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The vehicle will act as lead investor for pre-seed and seed deals in support of founders. IFF aims to invest tickets of 0.5 – 1.5 million in 25 deals and eventually further 25 million subsequent rounds. The fund already invested in JetHR with Exor Ventures and Glaut, a provider of surveys tools that Matteo Cera and Giovanni del Gallo founded in 2023. Marco Morgese (ceo), Francesco Fumagalli and Marco Airoldi founded Koinos in 2020, while Beppe Fumagalli is the firm’s operative chairman. Lorenzo Franzi is IFF chairman.
