Amsterdam-based Prosus, a global consumer internet group and technology investor, announced that Fabricio Bloisi has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of both Prosus and its parent company, Naspers.
The appointment, approved unanimously by the Boards of both companies, will take effect on July 1, 2024.
Fabricio Bloisi will assume the role of Group CEO from his position as CEO of iFood, a company he acquired in 2013 and transformed into Brazil’s leading food delivery service.
Bloisi is recognised for his entrepreneurial and innovative skills, particularly in scaling technology companies in growth markets.

Who is Fabricio Bloisi?
Fabrício Bloisi, founder of Movile and CEO of iFood, leads Latin America’s “leading” food delivery company. iFood employs over 5,000 people, partners with 350,000 restaurants and 300,000 couriers, and handles over 96 million orders monthly.
In 2022, iFood generated $20B in gross production value, impacting 0.53 per cent of Brazil’s GDP.
Fabrício Bloisi holds a degree in Computer Science from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and an MBA from Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/EAESP), with a thesis on high-growth startups, innovation, and strategy.
He completed the EPGC programme at Stanford Graduate School of Business and OPM at Harvard.
Bloisi is committed to promoting education through his 1Bi Foundation, which supports projects like Potência Tech, Meu Diploma do Ensino Médio, Movimento Tech, and the XPrize.
In 2023, he was appointed as a UN spokesperson on education for SDG 4 in Brazil and joined the economic and sustainable development council of the President of Brazil.

Interim CEO’s new role!
Ervin Tu, Interim CEO over the past eight months, will continue to influence the Group’s future in his new role as President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
