Nymiz, a Spanish cybersecurity company, has secured an investment of €2.8 million in a round led by Swanlaab Venture Factory. This strategic financing extends Nymiz’s horizon to lead innovation in the anonymization and pseudonymization of unstructured data, a need increasingly critical to leverage the full potential of data in generative AI applications.
Alongside Swanlaab, the funding round has been completed with participation from the French fund Auriga Cyber Ventures and CDTI Innovación, through its Innvierte program, as well as existing shareholders Archipelago Next, Kalonia Venture Partners, and the accelerators GO HUB and Startup Wise Guys.
Nymiz’s innovative solution unlocks the potential of data in a world increasingly dominated by AI, gearing up for an unprecedented global expansion. Founded in 2019, and led by Óscar Villanueva, CEO, and Manuel Díaz, CTO, the company’s uniqueness is its ability to provide a robust and disruptive solution that facilitates the secure and regulatory-compliant exploitation of large volumes of data. In a context where generative artificial intelligence transforms entire industries, Nymiz’s focus on privacy protection becomes an invaluable asset for corporations worldwide.
“In the era of generative AI, the demand for solutions that allow organizations to exploit the value of their data without compromising user privacy is higher than ever. Our technology not only meets this demand but also anticipates the market’s future needs,” said Óscar Villanueva. This vision places Nymiz in a privileged position to scale globally, offering companies the possibility to exploit their knowledge and data within the highest standards of privacy.
Nymiz’s commitment to continuous innovation and the expansion of its integration capabilities promises to revolutionize how companies manage and optimize their knowledge. The funding will also enable Nymiz to attract top talent, strengthening its team and growth in Europe, Latam, and the United States.
The investment, led by Swanlaab Venture Factory, highlights Nymiz’s ability to meet a critical need in a crucial area. “Nymiz has a highly differentiated proposition and is positioning itself as an undisputed leader in the protection of information and knowledge privacy, critical in the era of generative AI. Its potential to scale globally and transform the treatment of private data is huge, and we are very excited to be part of their journey,” commented Juan Revuelta, partner at Swanlaab.
Geoffroy Rosset, founding partner of Auriga, added: “we have been very impressed by the quality of the founding team, the product efficiency and the early traction showcased by Nymiz. Alongside a Tier 1 Spanish investor such as Swanlaab, we are happy to be part of such a promising entrepreneurial journey.”
