Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised ERG S.p.A. (ERG) on an agreement with Apex Clean Energy Holdings LLC (Apex) to establish a strategic partnership to manage an operating US wind and solar project portfolio and its potential expansion.
The agreement represents ERG’s first expansion outside Europe, establishing a US-based holding company that includes the wind and solar plants, which have a total of 317 MW installed capacity and an estimated production of around 1 TWh, and a cooperation agreement related to new solar and onshore wind projects of about 1 GW that are currently under development. The value of the transaction is US$270 million and it is expected to close during the first half of 2024.
