Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Enpal B.V. on the structuring, negotiation, signing and completion of the first tranche of Equitix and Keppel Infrastructure Trust’s investment in one of Enpal’s energy system portfolios.
As part of the strategic co-operation, Enpal will receive over €160 million of additional capital in several tranches from Equitix and Keppel while the operational responsibility for the portfolio will remain with Enpal.
The portfolio includes over 60,000 renewable energy solutions with a combined generation capacity of around 550 MWp. The photovoltaic (PV) solutions also include more than 50,000 battery storage systems and more than 25,000 charging stations for electric vehicles. The solutions are either made available to households under long-term rental or financing agreements or sold, and represent predictable cash flows for long-term investors.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partners Sebastian Pitz (Frankfurt) and Thyl Hassler (Düsseldorf) and included partners Andreas Lischka, Gernot Wagner, Bodo Bender, Sebastian Stütze (all Frankfurt) and Thilo Wienke (Düsseldorf) and associates Agmal Bahrami, Jan Ditrich, Konstantin Huber, Leon Hoffeller, Angela Fleck and Marie-Christin Frowerk (all Frankfurt).
