Angelini Ventures, the corporate venture capital of Italian pharma company Angelini Industries, and Indaco Venture Partners joined the 38 million US Dollars round of Freya Biosciences, a Danish women health company (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Colleen Acosta is the ceo of Freya Biosciences which also attracted the resources of Sofinnova Partners, OMX Ventures (lead investors), The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, Mike Jafar Family Office, CE-Ventures, and Corundum Systems Biology
Smartpricing, the Italian developer of a Revenue Management Software for the leisure sector, raised 11 million euros in equity and 2 million in banking credit lines (see here a previous post by BeBeez). French Partech Venture (in which invested CDP Venture Capital) acted as lead investor. Smartpricing also attracted the resources of The Techshop, Azimut Digitech Fund, FNDX, and the founders of Bending Spoons. Luca Rodella (ceo), Tommaso Centonze (coo) and Eugenio Bancaro (cto) founded Smartpricing in 2020.
CAEmate, an Italian developer of software for infrastructure maintenance, closed a post-seed round of 3 million euros (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company attracted the resources of Fondo Corporate Partners (part of CDP Venture Capital), 360 Capital, Marco Carlini, and Matti Kuivalainen. CAEmate will invest such proceeds in consolditating its presence in Italy, Austria and Germany. Massimo Penasa and Matteo Penasa are the company’s even owners. CAEmate has sales of 0.128 million, an ebitda of minus 0.1 million and equity in the region of 0.135 million.
nCore, an Italian AI-based job board, raised a pre-series A round of 2 million euros through which attracted the resources of Vertis (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In 2017, Enrico Ariotti and Aldo Toja founded nCore which has sales of 0.692 million, an ebitda of 0.016 million and net cash of 0.071 million
Debord Technologies, an Italian metaverse-based entairtainment company that Marco Palacino founded, raised pre seed resources of 0.5 million euros from 20 Italian and international business angels (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company is now completing a one million seed round. PraveenKumar Radhakrishnan is Debord’s Chief Technology Officer.
Italian financial holding Open Seed signed a partnership with Styleit, a FashionTech accelerator that is part of CDP Venture Capital and in which also invested StartupBootCamp and Gelllify (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Open Seed also signed a partnership with Exceptional Ventures and launched a fundraising round. Lorenzo Ferrara is the chairman and co-founder of Open Seed.
Eureka! invested 0.5 million euros in PoC (proof of concept) projects Reflex of CNR – Istituto per i Polimeri, Compositi e Biomateriali (IPCB) and and Bloxy of Bologna University (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Eureka! received assistance from Studio L&B Partners Avvocati Associati. Reflex and Bloxy developed materials for the packaging sector.
CDP Venture Capital sold to H14 its stake in Unobravo, an Italian telepsychology startup born in 2019 in which invested 0.15 million euros in 2020 (see here a previous post by BeBeez) Sources said to BeBeez that Northzone and Insight Partners led the transaction and that Unobravo also attracted further business angels.
