Amsterdam-based NEXT, an AI-powered product discovery platform, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Reveall, the customer insights platform.
However, the exact terms of the deal remain non-disclosed.
The announcement comes ten months after Reveall launched Reveall Discovery in January to help European companies disrupt the traditional product management space.
Reveall: Customer insights platform
Founded in 2021 by Ferdinand Goetzen, Marcel Hagedoorn, and Dwayne Pascal, Reveall is a customer insights platform that helps businesses better understand their customers by making it easier to gather, organise and share learnings from customer research and feedback.
Currently, Reveall serves several industry-leading businesses, including PostNL, Trusted Shops, Signify, and the Dutch Government.
The purpose
The acquisition aims to solidify NEXT’s position in the market for product discovery and user research platforms.
Talking about the acquisition move to Silicon Canals, Ferdinand Goetzen says, “We’ve been working on AI as a direction for Reveal for several months, but it hasn’t been without challenges, being in a competitive market where every company is exploring the potential power of AI.”
“This acquisition helps accelerate our mission. NEXT, as a Microsoft Scaleup, was super early to integrate and use generative AI for user research, insights management, and product discovery. They fired the starting gun, and we are super excited to be a part of that now,” adds Goetzen.
As a result of the acquisition, Reveall will be merged with NEXT and no longer exist as a separate entity by the end of this year.
The founders of Reveal will take on strategic and advisory roles within NEXT, while some current and former team members are being considered for roles at NEXT.
“Some “Reveallers” will move on to new roles, with some even starting their own companies,” says Goetzen about the employee transition process.
Addressing the potential stress and uncertainty during the acquisition process for employees, Goetzen explains, “The team was small, so this was not too hard to manage. We’ve been radically transparent from day 1. The team always knew when we fundraised, had M&A talks, or considered major strategic shifts for the future. We shared everything. Everyone knew where we were at, and they have been hugely supportive of this move, facilitating the transition.”
NEXT: AI-powered product discovery platform
Founded by Moodi Mahmoudi and Ronny Roeller, NEXT is an AI-powered product discovery platform that turns customer interactions into product insights.
The Amsterdam platform accurately understands customer interactions and delivers evidence-based insights for product decisions. As a result, it helps the team build better products faster and at a lower cost.
Currently, the Dutch company works with Deloitte, Autodesk, Bosch, Canon, and hundreds of other teams.
Moodi Mahmoudi, CEO and Co-Founder of NEXT, says, “In today’s competitive market, a company’s success hinges on how quickly and accurately it identifies new customer needs and ships products. It’s incredible to think about the opportunity ahead of us in the product discovery category, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with Reveall in our mission to help teams bring their customers into every product decision.”
