Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised ORLEN S.A., the largest multi-energy company in Central and Eastern Europe, on the issuance of seven-year series-B registered Eurobonds with a total nominal value of €500 million.
The Eurobonds will bear fixed rate interest of 4.750% per annum and will be listed on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The bonds were issued under ORLEN’s €5 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme, updated in June 2023 to include the recent acquisitions of Grupa Lotos S.A. and PGNiG S.A., which White & Case also advised on. White & Case previously advised ORLEN on the issuance of the green bonds under the EMTN programme in 2021, the first green bond issuance from Poland by a company outside the financial sector.
The White & Case team which advised on the transaction included partners Marcin Studniarek (Warsaw) and Neha Saran (London), local partner Bartosz Smardzewski (Warsaw) and associates Dawid Książek (Warsaw) and Anu Alamutu (London).
