London-based FundMyPitch (FMP), a platform that links investors with investment-ready firms seeking capital to jumpstart their projects, announced on Tuesday that it has helped startups raise £5,773,000 (approximately €6.7M) in funding via its platform in its first year of operation.
FMP claims to have witnessed a tremendous surge in user base. Currently, the company claims to have 3,460 registered users, with 941 identified as enterprises seeking investment and 2,519 as investors.
Bridging the investment gap for firms and investors
Founded in 2022 by Steven Mooney, FundMyPitch is a website that links investors with investment-ready firms looking for capital to get their projects off the ground.
Mooney says, “Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the economy, creating jobs, growth, and spreading opportunity. Yet far too many ambitious startups and SMEs cannot get access to the funding they need to expand and hire due to outdated fundraising systems.”
“Our mission is to give startups and SMEs a dynamic platform to showcase their offering and connect with investors, turbocharging their businesses and reaching their full potential,” he adds.
The company says it acts as a venue for business mentorship, seed capital, high-yield investment possibilities, and more for investors and entrepreneurs to interact and invest in a transparent and safe environment.
FMP provides customers with a new video pitch format that enables entrepreneurs to generate high-impact material to pique the interest of investors.
The platform also champions early-stage company opportunities and does not collect upfront fees, so it has a vested interest in assisting in deal completion.
FMP says its platform makes use of AI algorithms, provides an intuitive user experience, and builds a dynamic investor network. FMP also has strategic alliances with a number of major financial institutions, venture capital organisations, and startup incubators.
