Villa Pamphili

Double deal in Rome for Antirion sgr, which on the one hand brought the Swiss hotel brand Mövenpick (Accor Group) to Italy for the first time and leased Palazzo Italia on the other hand.

In detail, the first hotel on Italian soil with the Mövenpick brand  will be hosted by the historic Hotel Villa Pamphili, owned by the Antirion Global fund – Comparto Hotel  (see the press release here).

The property is surrounded by the urban park of the Valle dei Casali and is located just 15 minutes away from the Vatican City and the characteristic Trastevere and Testaccio districts. It offers 235 rooms and suites entirely redesigned in a contemporary style by London-based studio Dexter Moren Associates, a new multi-purpose conference center with 15 meeting rooms, a 500-seat ballroom with a large adjacent foyer, 2 restaurants with a la carte gourmet cuisine and banqueting, 1 American bar, a pool bar adjacent to the semi-Olympic swimming pool with a solarium of 500 square meters, a prestigious 800 square meter spa with wellness programs that draw inspiration from the Roman baths, 6 massage cabins, a fitness area and a rooftop lounge on the 5th floor. Jean-Charles Delgado, coo of Accor for France and Southern Europe, explained: “Italy is a key country for Accor’s growth strategy and I am very proud of this new opening, which will bring the Mövenpick brand for the first time on the Italian market. Our broad portfolio of world-renowned brands allows us to find the combination that best suits the structures and ambitions of our partners “.

Palazzo ItaliaAs for Palazzo Italia, it is owned by the Antirion Global real estate investment fund – Comparto Core since 2013, when it was transferred to the fund together with other real estate assets by Enpam, the national doctors and dentists’ pension fund, which subscribed the fund in turn. Antirion was assisted in the lease deal by Colliers International Italia (see the press release here). Palazzo Italia is an iconic building located in Piazza Marconi 25 in Rome, in the IX Town Hall, in the center of the Eur monumental district. It covers an area of 26 thousand square meters on 20 floors above ground and 2 underground levels. The building was renovated in 2017, bringing to light the historic architectural facade and obtaining the LEED Gold certification. The building is now equipped with environments and facilities of renewed usability, efficiency and eco-sustainability, in line with the highest market standards and able to meet the needs of important and qualified international tenants. Roberto Nicosia, ceo of Colliers International Italia, commented: “The success recorded by Palazzo Italia represents a further confirmation of the positive trend observed since the beginning of the year and of the renewed dynamism of the Roman market. The conductors, private and public, show to appreciate the ‘offer of quality properties well positioned in the city management districts where it is possible to relocate their headquarters’.
