Former Goldman Sachs’s banker, Claudio Costamagna, just appointed chairman of Italy’s Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (taking the place of former chairman Franco Bassanini), has been coopted in the Board of directors of Fondo Strategico Italiano (FSI) yesterday and has been appointed its chairman too, in the place of Giovanni Gorno Tempini (see here the press release).
Besides Mr. Costamagna, FSI’s Board includes ceo Maurizio Tamagnini and Giuseppe Bono, Rosalba Casiraghi and Elena Zambon as directors.
FSI is an investment company with approximately 4.4 billion euros of capital. Italy’s Government sponsored Cassa Depositi e Prestiti holds an 80% stake of the share capital while the Bank of Italy holds the remaining 20%.
