London-based private equity firm Njord Partners is said to be the winner of an auction to take control of Aerdorica, the managing company of the Marche Region Airport (Aeroporto delle Marche Raffaello Sanzio).
The binding offers were presented on the basis of a public announcement published at the ned of 2017 on Aerdorica’s internet site. However no bids were put forward in the following months so last April 10th Aerdorica published again an announcement asking investors to put forward bids.Â
Today Aerdorica’s shareholders are the Marche Region (89.68%), Banca delle Marche (3.05%), Camera di Commercio di Ancona (2.91%), Comune di Ancona (0.40%), Ancona Province (1.89%), Pesaro Province (0.03%) and Ascoli Piceno Province (0,77).
Aerdorica is in distress and last June 14th presented to Ancona Court a plan to avoid bankrupcty with includes 15 million euros equity injection by a new private investor and a 25 million euro recapitalization by the Marche Region.
