Italy-based biotech startup Genenta Science announced it had raised other 3.8Â million euros from investors just after having raised 6.2 million euros at the end of January reaching a total of 10 millions in this first funding round (see here a previous post by BeBeez).
Led by venture capitalist Pierluigi Paracchi (founder of Quantica sgr, now renamed Principia sgr), Genenta Science has been cofounded by Luigi Naldini (Director of the San Raffaele-Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy, TIGET, and of the Division of Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells and Gene Therapy of San Raffaele Hospital), San Raffaele University; and Bernhard Gentner (Haematologist and Physician Scientist at the San Raffaele Hospital and TIGET).
Both the funds raised in these days and the funds raised one month ago have been gathered by Banca Esperia (Mediobanca and Mediolanum group) among its private banking clients.
