United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty announces cross-border advisory appointments

Roly Ingleby-MacKenzie (left) and Fehd Alsaidi

United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty and Abu Dhabi Sotheby’s International Realty have announced the appointments of Roly Ingleby-MacKenzie and Fehd Alsaidi to lead a cross-border partnership focused on property transactions between the UK and the UAE.

The two will advise high-net-worth clients on acquisitions, sales and investment activity across both markets, with Ingleby-MacKenzie based in London and Alsaidi in Abu Dhabi. Their remit includes supporting UAE investors purchasing property in Prime Central London, and UK and European clients investing in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

The appointments follow the recent launch of Abu Dhabi Sotheby’s International Realty by chairman and CEO George Azar, who also oversees the group’s operations across the UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia, as cross-border investment between the regions continues to increase.

Ingleby-MacKenzie joins United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty as consultant senior sales director, bringing 15 years’ experience across Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Chelsea, Notting Hill, Kensington and Mayfair. He previously worked at Knight Frank.

Ingleby-MacKenzie said: “Fehd and I are partnering because we have strong conviction in both markets. For UAE investors in particular, London continues to offer a compelling proposition – its heritage, global status, lifestyle and depth of demand underpin its long-term appeal. It remains a core component of any serious international property portfolio.”

He added: “This is an exciting moment to join UK Sotheby’s International Realty. Both markets are demonstrating resilience and opportunity, and our role is to help clients identify and execute on the very best opportunities available.”

Alsaidi brings nearly two decades of prime central London expertise to Abu Dhabi Sotheby’s International Realty, where he joins as consultant senior sales director. He previously co-led the Mayfair sales team at Savills, where he advised on residential and investment transactions across Mayfair, St James’s, Soho, Covent Garden and the Hyde Park Estate.

Alsaidi commented: “Having spent over three decades collectively advising in Prime Central London, Roly and I have seen the two-way movement of capital between the UK and the UAE strengthen year after year. The Emirates continue to resonate strongly with UK and European investors seeking diversification, stability and an enhanced quality of life – driven by safety, world-class education and a truly international environment.”

He continued: “This collaboration feels like a natural evolution. Abu Dhabi Sotheby’s International Realty’s global reach, combined with its close alignment to its UK counterpart, provides an exceptional foundation for what we see as a significant long-term opportunity.”

Alex Isidro, MD at United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty, said: “We’re pleased to bring Roly and Fehd together. Both are leading operators, strategically positioned to capitalise on that footprint. I’m confident this will be a winning partnership that delivers outstanding results for clients.”

Savills appoints new sales head in Mayfair

Nick Verdi

Savills has appointed Nick Verdi as head of sales for its Mayfair office.

Verdi has worked in central London’s prime residential market for more than 20 years and joins the role after seven years leading Savills’ sales departments across the City of London and surrounding areas.

He will oversee a team responsible for residential sales across Mayfair, St James’s, Soho, Covent Garden and the Hyde Park Estate, operating from the firm’s North Audley Street office. The team will work alongside Savills’ Private Office, commercial and international departments based at its Margaret Street headquarters.

Verdi will report to Richard Gutteridge, head of prime central London sales.

Verdi, head of sales, Savills Mayfair, commented: “Having worked in the central London sales market for over twenty years, I am delighted to be taking up the head of sales mandate for Savills in Mayfair. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead the department; I am looking forward to utilising my market knowledge and expertise to work with the team in building clear market leadership.”

Liza-Jane Kelly, head of London residential at Savills, added: “Under Nick’s leadership we look forward to seeing the Mayfair sales team go from strength to strength. He has exceptional market credentials and is extremely well placed to further build our Mayfair sales business. Nick will be a valuable asset to Savills sales network in prime central London and we are delighted to have him on board.”
