The Guild of Property Professionals reported its largest-ever attendance at the Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, Ignite, held at the QEII Centre in Westminster.

The event brought together members from across the UK, highlighting demand for peer engagement and shared expertise within the independent estate agency sector.

The conference focused on partnership, communication, and professional networking, providing attendees with opportunities to exchange best practice and engage with The Guild’s leadership and support teams.

Opening the event, CEO Iain McKenzie outlined plans for the year ahead and detailed how the organisation supports independent agents through compliance guidance, training, marketing, and strategic insight. He noted that high attendance reflected the value members place on a connected, collaborative approach in a complex market environment.

Sessions during the conference covered leadership, communication, innovation, and performance, with an emphasis on practical applications and learning from peers.

McKenzie commented: “Our Members value being part of a network that provides not just insight and tools, but genuine professional support. This conference demonstrated the importance of partnership in helping agents navigate change and build sustainable businesses.”

The event concluded with The Guild Awards Ceremony, recognising excellence, professionalism and service among Members over the past year.

This year’s award winners were primarily determined by a mystery shopping programme delivered by a third party, offering an objective, customer-focused assessment.

All Guild Members were invited to take part, and they will receive their mystery shop reports as part of this year’s award process. The awards continue to highlight best practice within the network and celebrate those agencies setting benchmarks for customer service and operational standards.

McKenzie said: “The Guild Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the outstanding professionalism, service and commitment demonstrated by our Members. This year’s winners represent the very best of independent agency, setting benchmarks for quality, integrity and customer care across the sector. It is a privilege to celebrate their achievements and to showcase the high standards that exist within the Guild network.”
