Carol, an Italian medtech, raised 6.5 million euros in equity from Futura and P101 with the support of Pavia e Ansaldo and CC & Soci, a boutique financial advisory and investment firm that Claudio Costamagna founded (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company also borrowed 2 million from Banca Sella. Furthermore, Carol announced the acquisition of Mindwork from Mario Alessandra, Leonardo Bruzzichesi and other shareholders. Carol said it purchased Welfood from Giacomo Mosca that retained Studio Ichino Brugnatelli e Associati. Mindwork received assistance from DWF. Marco Spadafora is Italy’s general manager Italia of Carol while Lorenzo Granato is the company’s founder and ceo. Fabio Luigi Gallucci is the ceo of Futura. Giuseppe Donvito is a partner of P101. Brum, an Italian startup for driving schools of OneDay Group, raised 5 million euros from lead investor Italian Founders Fund (IFF) and a pool of undisclosed business angels (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such proceeds in purchasing new vehicles and its organic growth. Luca Cozzarini (ceo) and other partners founded Brum in 2024 and since then raised 9 million. Lorenzo Franzi is a partner of Italian Founders Fund. Paolo De Nadai is the chairman of OneDay Group.
Rara Factory, a deeptech spin-off from Venice Ca’ Foscari University, raised 3.2 million euros from Primo Capital, a firm that Gianluca Dettori chairs, CDP Venture Capital, Alberto Baban and other business angels (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such resources in R&D. Stefano Bonetti (chief scientific officer), Michele Bugliesi (ceo), Alexander Balatsky, and Guido Caldarelli founded Rara Factory in 2024. Giusy Cannone is a partner of Primo Climate. Stefano Molino heads Fondo Acceleratori – CDP Venture Capital.
Small Pixels, a spin-off of Florence University, raised 1.67 million euros from Match Ventures, Frontech, CDP Venture Capital – Scientifica Venture Capital, Toscana Next, and other private investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez) ADVANT Nctm assisted Small Pixels and Vertis Venture which invested in the company in 2020. Studio Giuliano e Di Gravio advised Frontech while CDP-Scientifica retained Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle. RLCD acted as deal advisor. Marco Bertini, Alberto Del Bimbo, Leonardo Galteri, Lorenzo Seidenari, and Tiberio Uricchio founded Small Pixels in 2020. Fabio Clabot joined the company in 2023 as ceo.
Primo Capital, a ventur capital investor that Gianluca Dettori chairs, led the pre-seed round of 1.6 million euros that Bricks.sh, an Italian AI startup that also attracted the resources of Octopus Ventures, Eden Ventures, Vesper Holding, Vento – Exor Seeds, Gianluca Cocco, Filippo Conforti, the founders of Smartness, and other business angels (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Orrick assisted Bricks.sh, a company that Dario Di Carlo (ceo) and Giuliano Torregrossa (cto) founded in 2025 and that will invest such proceeds in its proprietary technology and organic growth. Niccolò Sanarico is a general partner of Primo Capital
Butterfly Decisions, an Italian AI-Assisted Decision Making for the Pharma and Defence sector born in 2021, secured a 1.2 million euros round from Vertis Venture (lead investor with the support of Next Generation EU), its cfo Leonardo Lattaruli, the founder and ceo Enzo Troncone, CDP Venture – CyberXcelerator, and Maria Grazia Campanile (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such resources in its organic and international growth. Butterfly also belongs to R&D head Domenico Di Maria, Giacomo Matrone (head of Data Science) and Michele Criscuolo, cto. Renato Vannucci is the co-founder, vicepresident and managing partner of Vertis.
Starting Finance, an Italian publisher of media contents for financial education, said it acquired Talkin Pills from Carolina Sansoni (ceo) and Ludovica Tofanelli (co-founder) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Marco Scioli and Edoardo Di Lella are the chairman and ceo of Starting Finance that since its birth attracted the investments of Vertis, CDP Venture Capital, Atypical Partner, Fabio Piccioli, and other business angels.
