The UK’s hottest property markets for 2025 have been revealed – and the biggest winners are London, Manchester, and Glasgow when it comes to most-searched-for locations, with Bristol and Edinburgh rounding out the top five.

The top ten most searched for locations, across homes for sale and rent, in the UK in 2025 were:

The latest data from Rightmove, shows that when it comes to the capital, Wimbledon, Fulham, and Chiswick are the most-searched London locations for buyers in 2025. For renters, Canary Wharf, Clapham, and Fulham led the way.

The top ten most searched for locations in the capital for properties to buy in 2025 were:

1.       Wimbledon

2.       Fulham

3.       Chiswick

4.       Hampstead

5.       Chelsea

6.       Clapham

7.       Canary Wharf

8.       Walthamstow

9.       Richmond

10.     Battersea

For those looking for a sea view, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, and Worthing topped the list as the most searched for coastal areas in 2025.

The top ten most searched for coastal locations for properties to buy in 2025 were:

4.       Scarborough

5.       Weymouth

What have people been looking for?

For those looking to buy a home, a garage is the top feature home-buyers have been searching for in 2025. An annexe is second, and a garden is third.

For renters, the most important features that tenants are using Rightmove’s keyword sort tool to search for is a home that is pet-friendly, followed by a garage, and a furnished home.
