TestDevLab, a Latvian software quality engineering scale-up, today announced it has been acquired by Xoriant, a ChrysCapital-owned global engineering and technology services company from the US.
The partnership combines TestDevLab’s 14 years of testing expertise with Xoriant’s broader engineering capabilities and international presence across 28 offices in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
“This acquisition was considered thoughtfully, with careful attention to what it means for our team and clients. TestDevLab was seeking to expand its global reach, while Xoriant was looking to strengthen its quality engineering capabilities. The alignment made this a natural next step for both companies,” said Ervins Grīnfelds, co-founder and Co-CEO of TestDevLab.
European activity in software-testing and adjacent quality-assurance fields during 2025 shows a steady flow of investment, with UK-based Synthesized raising €17 million+ to expand its AI-native test-infrastructure and test-data platform, and Germany’s CERPRO securing €2 million to advance AI-driven industrial QA workflows.
Although neither are from Latvia or the wider Baltics, they illustrate a broader trend of ongoing investment into testing, verification and AI-enhanced QA capabilities.
Within this landscape, TestDevLab’s acquisition by Xoriant represents a consolidation-driven development rather than new capital raised, positioning the Latvian firm alongside a wider movement where established QA providers are being integrated into larger engineering groups seeking deeper expertise in automation, model-validation, and safety-focused testing.
“With TestDevLab joining Xoriant, we’re bringing intelligence and quality even closer together. It enhances our leadership in Quality Assurance for intelligent systems through model validation, fairness and bias testing, explainability, and safety evaluations across AI and language models,” said Rohit Kedia, CEO, Xoriant.
Founded in 2011, TestDevLab provides software testing and QA services, including test automation, performance, audio-video, security, accessibility, and UX testing. It works with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
TestDevLab has built deep expertise in software quality engineering, offering services including test automation, performance testing, accessibility testing, audio and video quality analysis, competitive intelligence, and AI testing solutions.
TestDevLab employs 500 professionals across Europe, primarily in the Baltics and North Macedonia, testing products used by more than five billion people daily.
Co-founders Andrejs Frišfelds and Ervins Grīnfelds will remain as co-CEOs, and engineers will continue working with existing clients and project teams, with teams remaining intact. The company anticipates increased hiring as it gains access to Xoriant’s sales network and expanded market opportunities.
“The dedication and expertise of our team over the years made this partnership possible. Together with Xoriant, we will create new opportunities for employees across both organizations,” said Andrejs Frišfelds, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TestDevLab.
This acquisition follows Xoriant’s earlier acquisitions of FEXLE Services (September 2024), MapleLabs (February 2024), and Thoucentric (August 2023).
