Knight Frank appoints head of short lets

Jack Low-Thomas
Jack Low-Thomas

Knight Frank has announced the appointment of Jack Low-Thomas as head of short lets, marking a strategic expansion of the firm’s presence in the short-term rental market.

In this newly created role, Low-Thomas will lead the firm’s growing short lets division, shaping the strategy and overseeing client relationship management across London and the South East.

While short-term rentals have long been part of Knight Frank’s offering, Low-Thomas’s appointment demonstrates the firm’s commitment to scaling this part of its lettings business.

Low-Thomas brings extensive experience of the prime central London rental market, having previously worked at Mountgrange Heritage and Chestertons, with a focus on the Kensington, Hyde Park and Marylebone markets.

Jack Low-Thomas commented, “The company’s high standards and professionalism put us in a prime position to expand further into this market. I was drawn to Knight Frank because of the clear potential I could see and our ability to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients in an ever-changing property landscape.”

Gary Hall, head of lettings at Knight Frank, added: “Jack’s appointment signifies the start of the next phase for short lets at Knight Frank, with a clear ambition to expand the team, replicate the success of our long-let business and support our clients looking for short-term accommodation. Jack’s market experience and excellent track record make him the ideal person to take this team to the next level, and we are actively recruiting for negotiators to support this momentum.”

Phil Jones

The North East region of Lovell has promoted Phil Jones to director of Land and Partnerships after three years with the business.

Jones, who has more than 26 years’ experience of housing and development in the public and private sector in the North East of England, joined the region in October 2022.

Jones said: “I joined the business whilst the North East region was in its infancy and feel a great sense of pride and belonging with this excellent team.

“The principal function of my role is to manage the land acquisition strategy for the region which encompasses acquiring sites for residential development and guiding projects through complex planning processes.
