Milan-listed Aquafil, an Italian producer of carpet fibres, carried on the private placement of a 50 million euros convertible bond paying a 6.05% coupon (see here a previous post by BeBeez). NYSE-listed Prudential subscribed the bond through Pruco Life Insurance Company, Prudential Legacy Insurance Company of New Jersey, and The Prudential Insurance Company of America
Datlas Group, a KYIP Capital portfolio company, attracted 33 million euros sustainability linked loans from Azimut Diversified Corporate Credit ESG-8, Banca Sella, BNL BNP Paribas, Cherry Bank, and Crédit Agricole Italia and received assistance from PwC and PedersoliGattai (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The facilities will mature between August 2030 and August 2031 and will refinence Datlas liabilities at lower costs and longer tenures. The loans include a revolving credit facility and a capex line that may support m&a deals. Dentons assisted the lenders that will charge a lower interest upon Datlas achievement of ESG targets. Tecnocap, an Italian packaging and closures producer, attracted a 25 million euros financing facility from the European Investment Bank (EIB) (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The company will invest such resources in the implementation of energy efficiency projects in production processes and industrial buildings and in the development of state-of-the-art photovoltaic systems for the generation and self-consumption of energy from renewable sources. Alberto Nobili is the Head of Investment Banking Corporate of Banca Finint which acted as arranger. Gelsomina Vigliotti is the vicepresident of EIB. Michelangelo Morlicchio is the ceo of Tecnocap.
FederfarmaCo, an Italian distributor of drugs and otc items, received from Banca del Fucino a 6.5 million euros loan with SACE warranty and a one million credit line for the working capital (see here a previous post by BeBeez). FederfarmaCo will invest the loan proceeds in raising from 40% to 80% its stake in Viprof, of which Unifarm spa -Unione farmacisti Trentino-Alto-Adige has 20%. Marco Alessandrini is the head of Banca della Fucino health & pharma unit. Fabio Mascherpa is FederfarmaCo’s coo while Vittorino Losio is the chairman and Francesca Rauzi is the vicepresident. Antonio Occari, Roberto Pennacchio, Ruggiero Golinelli, and Antonello Mirone act as directors.
Green One, a joint venture of BTS DevCo (the US subsidiary of Italy’s BTS Biogas) and French Eiffel Gaz Vert, part of private capital firm Eiffel Investment Group, started the 35 million euros worth development of three biomethane plants (see here a previous post by BeBeez). The companies will partially finance such projects with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) resources.
