Savills appoints new head of international sales

Odge Davey has rejoined Savills, taking on the role of head of international sales within the firm’s global residential division.
Davey returns to the estate agency after six years managing an ultra-prime residential portfolio on behalf of a private individual, with a strong focus on the Caribbean and Europe. During this time, he oversaw the sale of the highest-value properties ever marketed in both Barbados and Jersey.
His appointment strengthens Savills’ international reach in the prime and super-prime markets.
Davey said: “Having previously worked at Savills earlier in my career, and more recently representing best-in-class properties globally, I’m thrilled to return and to join such an established team.”
Victoria Garrett, head of global residential (excluding UK), commented: “It is fantastic to have Odge join the Global Residential business. I have no doubt, with Odge on board, the team will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Gateley Legal bolsters residential development team with new partner

Gateley Legal has expanded its specialist residential development team in Reading with the appointment of new partner, Brian Dowling.
Dowling previously held roles with Boyes Turner, Irwin Mitchell and Berwin Leighton Paisner, and has spent the last 18 years advising on residential development and regeneration matters, specialising in complex schemes involving the public and third sector.
As well as housebuilders and developers, he also has extensive experience acting for registered providers, councils and national regeneration bodies.
His appointment is part of continued investment in Gateley Legal’s specialist residential development offering in the South and follows recent growth across its London and Guildford offices.
Dowling said: “It is truly exciting to join such a strong national residential development team at a time where the demand for new housing has never been greater. The team covers it all, from acquisition through to plot sales and, uniquely, offers so much more to clients through its complementary consultancy businesses.”
Andy Wilson, partner and national head of the residential development team at Gateley Legal, added: “Brian brings a wealth of valuable experience to the team and it’s great to have him onboard as we continue to service some of the biggest names in housebuilding, as well as developers and land promoters, on immediate and strategic land, large-scale regeneration, urban redevelopment and private rented sector schemes including Build-to-Rent.”
