Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised integrated and technology-supported healthcare provider Vivecti Group (Vivecti) on its acquisition of Sana Einkauf & Logistik GmbH which operates the procurement alliance of Sana Kliniken AG . As part of the transaction, Sana Kliniken AG is acquiring a 21% stake in Vivecti.
The Sana Kliniken AG procurement alliance serves over 1,500 healthcare facilities in Germany and Switzerland, which currently purchase goods worth around €4 billion, under conditions negotiated with industry partners by Sana Einkauf & Logistik GmbH. The offering includes medical devices, consumables, capital goods, pharmaceuticals and laboratory supplies. The integration into the Vivecti Group will create a total volume of more than €7 billion in the future, making it one of the largest purchasing groups in Europe.
The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
Vivecti’s portfolio includes purchasing, managed services and consulting, and is supported by its own platforms, data analytics solutions and software tools. Specialised companies such as Prospitalia, Pro Care Management, Wawibox, miralytik, h-trak, WMC/WMCF, the Hospital Management Group and CoSolvia operate under the Vivecti umbrella. With around 550 employees, Vivecti generated sales of €145 million in 2024.
Sana Kliniken AG treats around four million patients annually. In 2024, it generated €3.6 billion in revenue and employed 41,500 people. Founded in 1976, Sana Kliniken AG is owned by 24 private health insurance companies.
