Global law Firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Project Development and Finance Practice, Global Energy Industry Group and Global Infrastructure, Transportation & Logistics Industry Group with the addition of Serra Tar as a partner in London.
“Serra has a well-established track record advising a broad range of clients on all aspects of energy and infrastructure investments, bringing industry expertise and a commercial and solutions-driven approach which is reflected in her strong reputation in the market,” said White & Case partner Jason Kerr, head of the Firm’s Global Project Development and Finance Practice. “Her cross-specialism experience and sector focus aligns with the evolving needs of our clients and will further enhance our capabilities in the energy & infrastructure sectors.”
Serra’s practice spans the full energy and infrastructure spectrum, from renewables and power to gas and adjacent services businesses. She advises infrastructure funds, sponsors, developers and institutional investors on domestic and cross-border transactions across these sectors with a particular focus on the energy transition. Serra joins White & Case from Kirkland & Ellis, where she was a corporate partner.
White & Case partner and Vice Chair Oliver Brettle said: “Serra’s extensive experience across the entire energy & infrastructure investment lifecycle – including project development and operation, joint ventures, equity investments and exits – sets her apart in the market. Serra will work across our global project finance, M&A and private equity practices with colleagues to deliver integrated commercially focused advice to clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Serra continues our significant growth in London during 2025, following the lateral addition of private equity partners Helen Croke, Laura Kayani and Nick Matthew from Ropes & Gray and Henry Birch from Kirkland & Ellis, M&A partner Richard Browne from A&O Shearman, competition partner Euan Burrows from Ashurst, tax partner Catherine Hill from Latham & Watkins and intellectual property partners David Stone, Karla Hughes and Adrian Dykes from A&O Shearman and Dan Reavill from Travers Smith.”
