European data center firm Penta Infra has launched a new facility in Hamburg, Germany.
“On 11 September 2025, we hosted the official opening of our Hamburg data center Penta HAM01,” the company said on LinkedIn over the weekend, “where we entertained our guests with good food and drinks, engaging presentations, and a fun and informal opportunity to meet with industry peers.”
HAM01 offers 4.4MW across 2,500 sqm (26,900 sq ft) of white space. The company broke ground on the project in late 2023.
The company said the facility has a photovoltaic facade for on-site solar power generation, cooling systems that run on natural refrigerants, a green roof for optimal heat regulation, and is heat reuse ready.
Founded in 2015, Penta Infra has data centers across Europe, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark. The company is owned by Photon Capital and PGGM.
In Germany, it has facilities in Leipzig, Berlin (2), Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Hamburg, currently totaling 21MW, and has more in development in Munich. Penta Infra acquired its existing Hamburg data center in May 2021.
