Glutensens, a startup developer of real time food‑safety solutions, secured a seed round of 1.05 million euros from Farming Future – CDP Venture Capital, Fondo per l’Imprenditoria Femminile (Fund for Women Entrepreneurship) and ToSeed & Partners (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Andrea Zanella is the ceo of the company which will invest such resources in its proprietary technology, European expansion and the launch of Detection‑as‑a‑Service products. Chiara Di Lorenzo founded Glutensens in 2023 as a spin-off of Milan University. In 2024, the company received the Startcup Lombardia award. Claudia Pingue is a senior partner of CDP Venture Capital and heads the firm’s Technology Transfer Fund. Kyte, an UK traveltech startup that Alice Ferrari founded in 2020, attracted undisclosed seed resources from Outsiders Fund, Ulixes Capital Partners and Alumni Ventures (see here a previous post by BeBeez). In March 2025, the company raised 3.3 million US Dollars as part of a 3.8 million round. HearstLab previously poured resources in the business. Ferrari said that Kyte will invest such resources in its proprietary technology and in expanding from product market fit to scaling.
Waveful, an online social platform for the creation of communities, said it secured a 2.1 million US Dollars round from a16z Speedrun (a programme that Andreessen Horowitz launched), Italian Angels for Growth (IAG), Vento Ventures (EXor), Zest, Vesper Holding e un gruppo selezionato di angel italiani e americani, tra cui Andrea Ruosi, Vito Lomele, Nick Swift, Simone Cimminelli, Tommaso Tosi, Vincenzo Alagna, Omar Bertoni, Andrea D’Aietti, Jesse Chor, and other investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Steven Motta and Dennis Motta founded Waveful in 2020. The company will invest the raised proceeds in its organic growth and proprietary technology. Robin Guo is an Investment Partner of a16z.
MSA Mizar, an Italian insurtech that belongs to Columna Capital, said it acquried Italy’s competitor Medexpert from ceo Giovanni Cannavò and Chiara Savarino who will keep their management roles (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Medexpert retained Ethica Group and Baker McKenzie. MSA Mizar hired LMS Studio Legale and Studio BC&. Antonio Marchitelli is the ceo of MSA Mizar.
