Hype around AI agents has continued to gather pace in 2025.
As of this month, Sifted data shows startups in the sector had already raised €2.4bn across 193 rounds, outpacing the €2bn picked up across 106 rounds throughout the whole of 2024.
Some of the buzziest rounds this year include Swedish vibe coding platform Lovable’s $200m round, which made it Europe’s newest AI unicorn, and a bidding war which saw VCs fighting for a stake in workflow automation platform N8n.
But which of Europe’s AI agent startups will be the next to hit a valuation of $1bn or more? Sifted took a look at 10 of the most promising startups riding the next wave of hype around this fast-moving technology. The below list is based on Dealroom data and media reports.
