Rumble with the Agents, is heading to the North East for the very first time as part of its 10-year anniversary celebration.
Paul Shamplina, founder of the iconic charity boxing event, is rallying property professionals to get involved and help them reach their £200,000 fundraising target.
Following a sold-out night in London this past June, Rumble with the Agents will land at Newcastle Civic Centre on Thursday 4 December 2025, bringing together the property industry for a night of white-collar boxing, entertainment, and charitable fundraising.
This special North East edition will support Legends on the Bench, a mental health charity founded by football legend Micky Hazard in memory of his nephew, to help combat suicide and provide community-based mental health support. The evening will feature live boxing bouts, a three-course meal, auctions, raffles, and an afterparty, with over 300 professionals expected to attend.
Rumble with the Agents is now actively seeking male and female volunteers from across the property industry – estate agents, letting agents, landlords, developers, and suppliers – to step into the ring and raise funds for this vital cause.
Boxers will take part in a structured, three-month training programme at F.I.T Club in Newcastle, including group sessions and individual gym training. Each participant will represent their company in one of 4–5 bouts on the night, each consisting of three 2-minute rounds.
Iam Sold, Viva Residential, and Vigeo are among the companies with confirmed participants taking to the ring, while mydeposits is one of several sponsors already supporting the event.
Shamplina commented: “I’m so proud that we’ve reached our ten-year anniversary. What started as a passion project combining boxing and property has grown into a landmark industry event, so far raising nearly £180,000 for charities.
“I have strong ties to the North East, I’m regularly up here, and I know how much people here love their boxing. We’ve already had huge demand and now we’re officially launching the Newcastle event.”
“This year’s charity, Legends on the Bench, supports people during their darkest times – especially men, who often suffer in silence. This event is about stepping up for them, raising funds, and making a difference.”
Commenting on the idea behind his charity, Legends on the Bench, Micky Hazard, added: “When I lost my nephew, I knew I had to do something to help others who might be suffering in silence. That’s how Legends on the Bench was born, a simple idea to place benches in parks across the UK, offering a quiet place to reflect and, more importantly, a lifeline. Each bench carries a plaque with support numbers, so no one feels completely alone, no matter the time of day.
“We’ve already installed 40 benches, and by the end of September that number will be up to 70. The momentum and support we have had has been incredible, and it’s pushing us to keep going. This is about more than benches, it’s about giving people hope, a voice, and a reminder that someone is always there to listen.”
Guest of honour Ossie Ardiles, ex-Spurs and Newcastle United manager, will be attending, along with Micky Hazard, who will host a Newcastle Legends VIP Table.
