Copenhagen-based startup GetWhy has raised an additional €17 million in funding, extending its Series A round and positioning it among the largest early-stage financings in Denmark. The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from Arbejdernes Landsbank. GetWhy develops generative AI tools that analyze video-based consumer interviews to deliver insights for enterprise clients. The company’s platform is used by brands such as Heineken, Nestlé, and eBay to conduct qualitative research at speed and scale. With the new funding, GetWhy plans to grow its team, continue product development, and establish a U.S. office in 2025 to support its growing client base in North America, which currently accounts for 60% of its revenue.

GetWhy specializes in consumer research solutions powered by generative AI. The company develops tools designed to support qualitative market research by enabling organizations to gather and analyze consumer insights from video-based interviews at scale. Founded in 2011 and launching its AI platform in 2022, GetWhy serves a range of global consumer-facing brands and focuses on accelerating decision-making processes through data-driven, AI-enabled feedback systems. The company operates internationally and maintains its headquarters in Copenhagen. Earlier this year, the company raised $64.5 million.

”Traditional market research is broken. It’s slow, it’s expensive, and, most importantly, it’s disconnected from how modern enterprises build products and connect with their customers. This disconnect gives us a unique opportunity to redefine the entire insights industry, ” says Casper Henningsen, CEO and Co-founder of GetWhy. “This increased investment from PeakSpan Capital underscores how rapidly the field of consumer research is evolving and gives GetWhy the fuel to accelerate our mission and cement our leadership position globally. We see a clear opportunity to lead the enterprise market and drive AI-fueled transformation for a vast universe of global brands.”

With plans to open a U.S. office in 2025, GetWhy aims to deepen its presence in its largest revenue market, where 60% of its income already originates. PeakSpan Capital’s Phil Dur noted the “tremendous potential” of AI in reshaping how global brands understand consumers, calling GetWhy’s platform “transformational.”

”We see a tremendous potential in the market for AI-driven consumer insights, which we believe will fundamentally transform how global B2C and B2B brands operate. GetWhy is leading this transformation with their cutting-edge technology and an impressive track record of delivering results for customers of all sizes, especially enterprise. PeakSpan Capital is privileged to be GetWhy’s partner and was energised to expand our investment to enable this world-class team to continue to deliver value for leading brand s around the world,” says Phil Dur, Co-founder and Managing Partner at PeakSpan Capital.

By combining Agentic AI and human empathy, GetWhy empowers clients to conduct multi-market studies at speed, bringing authentic consumer voices into decision-making rooms within days—something companies like eBay say was previously unthinkable.
