On July 1st, Ingenostrum officially became Nostrum Group – a new identity that reflects the company’s international ambitions, its commitment to sustainability, and its key role in the digital and energy transition.
This milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter for a company that, for over 15 years, has played a pivotal role in transforming Spain’s energy model. The rebranding was not merely aesthetic – it was a strategic statement. The name ‘Nostrum’, meaning ‘ours’, was the result of a collective vision to lead the new technological revolution in a sustainable way.
According to Gabriel Nebreda, CEO of the group: “This rebranding represents an internal transformation designed to anticipate the major opportunities of the digital era, while also creating real social impact through clean energy. We’ve built a solid foundation to reach this point, but what lies ahead is even more ambitious.”
The company was restructured into two strategic divisions that defined its dual business focus:
- Nostrum Data Center, dedicated to the design, development, and operation of next-generation data centers – conceived from the start to be sustainable, scalable, and resilient.
- Nostrum New Energies, focused on renewable energy development, storage solutions, and key projects supporting the transition to a decarbonized economy.
With offices in Madrid, Seville, Cáceres, and Natal (Brazil), Nostrum Group has operated in more than ten countries. This new chapter was guided by a clear mission, expressed in its updated brand claim: “Driving the energy transition in the new digital era. Green data, green energy.”
This phrase captured the heart of the project: to act as a bridge between digital and energy transformation, promoting connected, sustainable, and responsible growth.
For Nostrum Group, generative AI, digital services, and decarbonization were not isolated trends – they were mutually reinforcing. Making that ecosystem work required robust, smart, and long-term-oriented infrastructure.
The rebranding also introduced a new visual identity – international, modern, and technology-focused – designed to strengthen the company’s position as a strategic partner for major tech corporations, investment funds, and public institutions throughout Europe.
This transformation involved deep collaboration across internal teams and shareholders, and it undoubtedly marked a turning point in the company’s journey.
As Gabriel Nebreda concluded: “We didn’t just change our name. We opened a new chapter aimed at positioning Spain at the core of the emerging digital infrastructure landscape. And we will build that future together, step by step, as we always have – through shared vision, strong commitment, and work that truly matters.”
